Emergency Contraception
Patients who require emergency contraception/ “the morning-after pill” are able to access this free of charge on the NHS from participating high-street pharmacies across England. To find a pharmacy offering this service in your local area, please use the NHS Service finder here
Participating pharmacies will offer confidential advice and be able to issue emergency hormonal contraception (the morning-after pill) as well as offering ongoing oral contraceptive pills and repeat supplies free of charge on the NHS, allowing patients to start and continue the supply of their regular contraception from their local pharmacy.

Emergency contraception can also be accessed by patients by calling 0114 226 8888 to book a call back from one of our experienced clinicians.
