Sexual Health Online— free home STI testing kit

If you live in Sheffield

Sexual Health Online is a service for people without symptoms. If you do not have any symptoms and have not knowingly been in contact sexually with someone with an infection, just register and complete the online consultation. If the service is right for you, a free kit will be posted out so you can collect your samples and return them for testing. The results will be available  in a few days.

If you have difficulty obtaining a screening kit from preventx,  you can access the following:

Walk-In Self-Screening

Self-screening kits for chlamydia and gonorrhoea are available without appointment during routine clinic times. On arrival:

• Choose which kit you need (see options here)
• Complete the registration form
• complete your samples and return them and your registration form in the sample collection box

Walk-in blood tests are also available during these times, and we recommend a blood test for HIV & syphilis to go alongside your self-screen, completing a full routine STI check up. If this is something you would consider, please see reception and ask for a blood test after completing your self-sample

Moor Market Walk-In Appointments 

Routine STI screening for anyone aged 18 or over is available at our walk-in service in the Moor Market every Wednesday and Thursday from 12.15-3.00pm

Youth Clinic

Our walk-in sexual health and contraception Youth Clinic service for anyone aged 18 and under is open every Monday and Thursday from 2-6pm

University Students

You can access free and confidential sexual health support from your university medical practice
