Emergency Contraception
Patients who require emergency contraception/ “the morning-after pill” will be able to access this free of charge on the NHS in participating high-street pharmacies across England from the 29th October 2025.
Simply contact or attend your local pharmacy to see if they are participating in the national scheme. Participating pharmacies will offer confidential advice and be able to issue the morning-after pill as well as offering oral contraceptive pills and repeat supplies free of charge on the NHS, allowing patients to start and continue the supply of their regular contraception from their local pharmacy.
