Sex & Relationships (SRE)
The Centre for HIV and Sexual Health passionately believes that sexuality is an integral part of being human and that this should be reflected in a positive approach to the delivery of SRE. Comprehensive and timely SRE is a human right and is vital, both before someone becomes sexually active and after they develop sexual relationships.
We believe that good SRE, which imparts knowledge as well as developing skills, is a prerequisite for negotiating, consensual, meaningful and pleasurable sex and relationships. Good SRE should include issues such as power imbalances, gender inequalities and issues relating to sexual orientation.
