Service User Involvement

This section has been added to the Centre’s website on behalf of the Service User Involvement Task Group. This multi-agency Task Group was established by the Sheffield Sexual Health Network and has representation from the Centre for HIV and Sexual Health, NHS Sheffield, Sheffield Contraception and Sexual Health Service and Sheffield Genito-Urinary Medicine Service.

The purpose of the Task Group is to identify priorities for improving service user involvement in relation to sexual health services, and to support services to engage with patients and service users in relation to the planning and delivery of sexual health provision.

This has led to the development of a resource of Practical Ideas for Sexual Health Services to improve their patient and public involvement.

The Centre for HIV and Sexual Health has also established and is continuing to develop a bank of books, journals, documents and resources, available to loan, on service user involvement. This library is available to health professionals, students and volunteers to support their work regarding patient and public involvement. Contact the Centre on 0114 226 1900 for library opening times and to book an appointment.
