Counselling Directory

Counselling Directory is a confidential service that encourages those in distress to seek help. The directory contains information on many different types of distress, as well as articles, news, and events. To ensure the professionalism of our website, all counsellors have provided us with qualifications and insurance cover or proof of membership with a professional body.


Healthwatch Sheffield

From 1 April 2013 Healthwatch Sheffield is a new independent voice for the people of Sheffield, helping to shape, challenge and improve local health and social care services.

Hepatitis Information and Testing (HIT)

Hepatitis Information and Testing in Sheffield (HIT Sheffield) is an initiative of the Sheffield Viral Hepatitis Group. The Group includes doctors and nurses from specialties such as Infectious Diseases and Virology, from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, working in partnership with community leaders and volunteers.

Our resources include hitsheffield.org website and videos hosted in vimeo. The languages available include: English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic, Slovak and Urdu.


Open Doors – Young Peoples Sexual Health Outreach

There are lots of different places all over Sheffield where you can get help, advice, support, free condoms, c-cards, pregnancy testing and chlamydia screening. Sheena Amos Youth Trust

The Sheena Amos Youth Trust is a registered independent charity (no. 1076951) which has been running in Sheffield since 1999. We are a sexual health charity working with young people up to the age of 25, in particular those who are most vulnerable or marginalised.


Sheffield Fruitbowl

A Sheffield based support and information service for younger Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) people under the age of 18. The Fruitbowl is somewhere young people who identify as LGBT or who are questioning or exploring their emerging sexuality can go to for confidential advice and support


Sheffield Healthy Settings

The Healthy Settings website has been created by Sheffield Healthy Schools Programme, a joint programme between NHS Sheffield Public Health and Sheffield City Council.

The Forge Centre

The specialist staff at the Forge Centre provide Social Work support, advice and counselling for people affected by HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C. We can also arrange confidential testing.
