This training is designed to enable participants to gain the practical skills, knowledge, awareness and confidence to develop and deliver sexual health training to a wide range of organisations, groups and colleagues.
Module One: 3 days
- Placing sexual health training within a national policy and good practice context
- Examining how people learn and possible blocks to learning
- Exploring core principles of excellent training and group work
- Practical aspects of training
- Exploring an inclusive model of sexual health
Module Two: 3 days
- Looking at diversity and inclusion and how these impact on sexual health
- Dealing with difficulties arising from sexual health training
- Examining values, attitudes and feelings about a range of sexual health issues
- Examining sexual health rights, values and messages
Module Three: 4 days
- Enabling participants to demonstrate the wide range of skills they have learned and to learn from each other
- Further exploration of the challenges and difficulties that arise in sexual health training
- Enabling participants to plan a range of sexual health training opportunities

To apply for the course
Due to the nature of the course it is expected that participants will have some basic understanding and awareness of sexual health issues. The training will also encourage personal reflection and will require of participants a level of emotional maturity.
