Sexual Health and Working with African Communities

This one day course will give participants the opportunity to discuss the issues to consider when developing sexual health promotion work with Black African communities.
The training will cover:

  • The national framework for sexual health promotion with Black African communities
  • The cultural issues that can impact on the delivery of sexual health work with this community
  • The benefits and disadvantages of developing peer led education approaches to sexual health promotion work
  • Strategies for developing sexual health services for Black African people living in the UK
