Happy Being Me

This course is about helping young people survive transition (from primary to secondary or child to adolescent) with their self-esteem intact.

Over the course of the two days participants will:

  • Examine the factors associated with positive and negative self-esteem, including emotional, cultural and structural factors
  • Develop workers confidence and skills to support emotional development and build self-esteem and resilience in young people
  • Identify practical strategies and exercises to support emotional resourcefulness, self-esteem and resilience
  • Explore how workers can model positive behaviours and attitudes
