Addressing the Sexual Health Needs of Looked After Young People

The overall aim of the training is to enable staff and carers to feel confident to discuss sexual health issues with looked after young people on a 1:1 basis. Components of the training include:

  • Sexual health values and attitudes
  • Sex and the law
  • Responding to young people’s sexual health questions/issues
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • This course is open to staff and carers who support looked after young people within a range of settings e.g. residential homes, foster care.

Cost: £30 to Sheffield-based workers/volunteers only
